TJ Rigg

TJ Rigg is a writer, storyteller, author, journalist and photographer, to name a few of his many roles.

In a not-so-distant past life, Rigg worked in journalism for nine years, both in print and broadcast. He has written hundreds of stories and produced dozens of newscasts, but has decided to take a break, at least for now, from the daily rush of covering the news. He now works and lives in the great state of Texas.

For three years, between 2011 and 2013, TJ Rigg participated in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) during the month of November. The three stories, Rise to the Top, Above Acceptance and Out of Darkness function as a series, though each story can stand on its own without the other two books. For NaNoWriMo 2017, Rigg rewrote his Harry Potter fanfic, A Loyal Friend, which centers on a character named Scott Peck, who functions as a student-version of Severus Snape. In November 2018, he will revisit his old Star Wars fanfic, known as Birth of the Sith, which centers on a Jedi named Solin Malice, Solin's apprentice Keira Port and Solin's old friend Vulcan Gunner.

Rigg earned a bachelor's degree in general studies with an emphasis in communication from Wichita State University in 2017. His secondary emphasis areas are sociology, women's studies, U.S. history and criminal justice.
