Richard A. Raybin

Richard A (Rick) Raybin (1951 - ) was born in Jacksonville, Florida. His career in finance traces back to challenges faced by his parents. Their wondering, "if the deal is so good, why are they offering it to us" and their disappointment with the performance of a stock broker recommended by one of his dad's wealthy patients, were the catalyst for Rick to pursue a career in finance, which he has for over forty years.

Rick started his career as a CPA with the international accounting firm, Coopers & Lybrand. He joined Rosenberg Real Estate Equity Funds (RREEF) where he was quickly promoted from Controller to Chief Financial Officer. There he saw how knowledgeable investors approached investing including their understanding of investments and investment markets. While at RREEF, he worked with his counterparts at the leading insurance companies and banks to form the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) and served as its first president and board chair. His position at RREEF and NCREIF gave him access to wealthy investors, the information they required to support their investment decisions, and how they worked with professional advisors.

Although he enjoyed his career in finance, he felt something was missing and remembered how he wanted to follow in his dad's footsteps and focus on serving individuals and their families. Instead of learning medicine to help others with their physical health, he took his passion for finance and used the skills he learned as a CPA and CFO to help others with their financial health.

Investing 3.0 is Rick's voice, distilling 40 years of experience into sound guidance.
