Juslain Mathieu

My name is Juslain Mathieu, born in Haiti in 1969, from a county called Pilate. I am the first child of a three children family. My parents were mountain farmers.

I am graduated at University as an Agro-Economist and I work as agroEconomist with specialization in Disaster risk Management. But during my youth age I was attracted by the theology and wanted to become a priest.

At school, I have always loved writing and reading. Then, I was a good adept of litterature. In 1990, I started to write a theater scenario, that I transform several years later into a novel, my first book titled "Epopee de Jacques Stephen". This has been published in 2012. Five years after, in june 2017, as required by several readers, I published the second tome of this, nowadays, serial called "Epopee de Jacques Stéphen" but with a new subtitle "Jacques le Revenant". In 2018 and 2019, two other volumes, the last of the serial, have been published, respectively "Le Président" and "Le Livre blanc de la République".

In the meantime, two others books were published directly through Amazon: "Une histoire d'amour insolite" and "From lovers to parents", two love and familial stories.

In 2022, I have just published my new novel titled : "De l'enfance au banditisme". It is a compilation of interviews realized by a US journalist with a sample of twelve gang chiefs (men and women) sharing their stories, their life from their child age to their actual situation. This present analysis of the deep causes of the insecurity in Haiti and probable solutions.
