Kate Hiller

"I told myself I would find beauty in every season"

Kate Hiller was born in the high desert region featured in "To Be Called Mary," Cedarville, CA. The daughter of a cattle rancher, she spent many of her young days on horseback trailing cattle. These days she more often trusts her own two feet and just recently trekked to Everest Base Camp with her husband and three children. Writing her first novel was a dream come true and she just finished her second. Following her husband on such adventures fuels her imagination. She has the best job in the world--staying at home, homeschooling the kids and keeping her family fed. If the family can't find her, she is usually out hiking and looking for beauty.
