Barbara L. Owens

Barbara Owens was born in Dallas, Texas. She's the 5th of 6 children born to Earl and Esther Roberson. Barbara is an early childhood educator, a profession that has provided her with opportunity to teach students, lead parent workshops, and partner with parents on the academic growth of their children. Barbara has taught in New York, Ohio and Washington DC. She has had the pleasure of working in both public and homeschool settings. Barbara was greatly inspired to write and share her story after going through a grief certification training. Barbara is the recipient of the American Mothers, Inc."2017 Mother of the Year Award" for Washington D.C. She currently resides in the District of Columbia with her husband and three children.
