Diana Wilde

Diana Wilde has been writing since the age of eight, in different genres; her first childhood novels were of wild horses, lions and cats. Her biggest influences are the fantasy worlds of Narnia and Lord of the Rings, and from a different but not unconnected source, from the early Glam Rock musicians T.Rex, David Bowie and Queen, as shown in The Glam Rock Files.

Diana dabbles happily in the worlds of rock music and homoerotic romance, inspired by 'my lifelong Guru, David Bowie, who is still teaching me from beyond.' Certainy Bowie's stage acts of the Seventies gave direct rise to her fascination with male/male romance, portrayed so far in Jailbait and First Flight, which is a story based on a fictional rock star.

More than twenty years of travelling in Asia have given rise to a different type of book, the first part of the search for her Indian Guru, in the book A Kind of Magic. This will also have more books to come.

Diana works as a travelling craftswoman, writer and spiritual worker, teaching reiki healing and meditation. "I prefer a warm climate, but otherwise I can do my work anywhere, and home is where the backpack is. Life is too short to grow roots!" she declares.

She likes working in Trilogy format, the Power of Three being a very satisfying one. Look out for another book from the Xanadu Trilogy early next year.
