Jane Waters Bugg

Jane Waters Bugg was born and raised near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A career copywriter, she turned to novel writing when forced into retirement. Her love for Philadelphia and family is evident in her writing. Her characters are shaped by people and places familiar to her but are entirely fictitious.

Bugg is a rabid fan of John LeCarre, Anne Tyler, Ann Beatty and John Updike, especially enjoying their three dimensional characters. She also loves travel, cooking, sewing and crossword puzzles and is unable to get her day started until she solves the puzzles in the Philadelphia Inquirer. She has two children and resides in Harleysville, PA with her husband.
