Someone once asked, “Why do you write all the time?” He answered, “The same reason I breathe.”
Pain surrounds Don’s life. Living with severe Cumulative PTSD and Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy, he strives to live by the maxim, “Every day, no matter what the pain, opportunities for gratitude surround us.” Along the way, he has discovered that when pain finds purpose, it no longer has the final word.
Since 2015, Don and his wife, Kathy, have served in Member Care, teaching missionaries how to understand and manage stress, speaking at missionary retreats around the world, and providing confidential coaching and counseling to missionaries, pastors, and Christian leaders.
Don holds two master's degrees, including a Master of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary, along with a Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Counseling from Louisiana Baptist University.
He writes and speaks from nearly five decades of missionary service, pastoral ministry, and caring for missionaries and Christian leaders around the world, having published twelve books.
Keep moving forward, live with gratitude, and never stop investing in the lives of others.
