With the stamp of still photographer Kenneth Alexander on the verso. Based on Leo Tolstoy's 1899 novel "Resurrection." A Russian prince seduces an innocent young servant, leading to her pregnancy and subsequent termination from her job, forcing her into a life of poverty and degradation. The second of three films produced by Samuel Goldwyn to star the then-unknown Sten, who Goldwyn believed would become the "new Garbo," a prediction which ultimately proved incorrect. Set in Moscow. 7.5 x 9.5 inches. Very Good plus overall.

Book foxed to the top page edges, with a bump to one corner of the crown. Jacket has a few bits of foxing to the front panel, some rubbing to the rear panel, and creasing at the spine ends.
