I retired after a 25-year career working with mainframe computers. My primary field of expertise was operating systems software and machine language programming. I've taught coding and diagnostic classes at the business and college level. I'm thrilled by all the sciences along with the ‘miracles’ they can perform for humankind and the world at large, but concerned by the consequences of their misuse or premature application. I have an honorable discharge from military service, a degree from Lawrence Technological University, and currently reside in Prescott Valley, AZ. I feel comfortable in most forms of writing including novels, short stories, and flash fiction. Restaurants are my favorite places to either work or start a new story. You'll often find me in a corner booth with an ever present cup of decaff coffee. I tend to see my characters acting in my mind as if I were watching a movie. Emotions run high in my work and sometimes I'll get so caught up in my own plot I may cry or laugh out loud. I generally write or print long hand at first and then return home to flesh a story out on my computer's keyboard.
