At 16, Seth began studying the great lyricists of the 60s and 70s. Digging deeper into the meaning of songs, the double entendre used to intrigue the listener. It didn't take long before the spectator became a participator. Seth began journaling and writing lyrics for his own band.
Finding the outlet to express his emotions as well as describe his feelings about the world around him was exhilarating. Writing from the perspective of a child, a woman, someone more vulnerable allowed Seth to explore feelings that otherwise might have been seen as a weakness.
Being raised fatherless already had Seth at a disadvantage to appear weak. His religious upbringing and the religious people not understanding the growth and development of a boy into a man who was absent of a father made for some tough times.
The overstepping of the religiously zealous people would only push Seth closer to God and further away from those claiming to be religious or spiritual.
