G. Mitchell Steckler

G. Mitchell Steckler is a retired social science teacher. He has A.S degrees in Business Administration and Law Enforcement from Vincennes University. He received his degrees in US History, economics, and physical education from Indiana State University (B.S.) and Indiana University (M.S.). He worked briefly for the Indiana State Police out of Evansville district. His teaching experience includes Indianapolis Scecina Memorial High School (1982-88) and Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, Indiana (1988-2015). Among other classes, Steckler taught U.S. History, economics, physical education, AP Microeconomics, and AP US History. He also coached tennis and track for most of his career. Having grown up in Vincennes, Indiana, he now lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Susan, and his German Shepherd dog, Thor. He is the proud father of two grown sons, Zachary and Spencer.
