Simone Klabin

Simone Klabin was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and moved to New York in the 1990s. She works at the intersection of media and the law. Her background in copyright & entertainment law, combined with film & media studies, allows her to navigate in both spheres, working with producers of creative content, and more recently, moving into content development herself.

Passionate about eating & drinking, as well as the exploration of visual narratives, she proposed for the TASCHEN series of infographic books, a compilation entirely devoted to gastronomy. Her book, Food & Drink Infographics, is being launched by TASCHEN in the summer of 2018.

In the past, Simone has written about film, art, and culture, and lectured on Brazilian cinema while conducting and publishing research on children's media; she is currently working on new book projects.

Empty nester of two, and fluent in Portuguese & English, she divides her time between Rio de Janeiro, in her home country, and New York, where she has been based for nearly 20 years.
