Balvinder Kumar

The author has published two books. First, Man’s Spiritual Journey – Understanding the Purpose of Life in which many contentious issues that are central to our spiritual journey we undertake during our lifetime have been addressed. He then released his second book entitled ‘Awakening the Thinking Mind – An Inward Journey’. Later, he presented his book to Prime Minister of India, President of India, Shri Dalai Lama and Sri Sri Ravi Shanker ji, the spiritual leaders of International fame. The book attracted wide appreciation from the readers of various walks of life. Hindi version of his first book has also been published.

The author who belonged to Indian Administrative Service superannuated recently from the post of Union Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Government of India. Earlier, he had held various assignments in the State Government of Uttar Pradesh as well as Central government.

The author is a regular practitioner of transcendental meditation (TM), he has varied interests including in painting, writing and reading with special focus on neuroscience, quantum mechanics, consciousness and spirituality. He has been an ardent follower and believer in new age spirituality. He has held art exhibitions at the Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi, and in Lucknow, where large number of oil and acrylic ‘abstract’ paintings on canvas have won him wide recognition.
