Paige Alexander

I acquired the beginning skills for sewing at a young age while sitting on the knee of my paternal grandmother at her 1949 Singer that I have in my possession today. While I was crafty growing up in northwest Mississippi and even made a Trip Around the World baby quilt (without a pattern) for a cousin while in college, I truly began my quilting journey in 2003 after window shopping at a quilt shop in upstate South Carolina. I quickly joined my local quilt guild where I have served in many roles including president and treasurer and was instrumental in the formation of the local Greenville chapter of the Modern Quilt Guild.

My favorite quilts to make are challenges whether it’s a fabric challenge or a themed challenge and I have even earned awards from international quilt shows including the American Quilter's Society, National Quilting Association and the Modern Quilt Guild's QuiltCon. I live with my husband on his family’s century old farm surrounded by pine trees. You can find me blogging at QuiltedBlooms.com and on Instagram @QuiltedBlooms.
