Eric Paul Pearson

Eric Pearson (1949 - ) was born in Van Nuys and spent his early years living in Hollywood, California. Eric struggled with learning disabilities growing up and found physical labor far easier than studies until he fell twenty-five feet working as a carpenter and decided that returning to college was perhaps safer than crawling around roofs of new construction.

He has pursued many careers in his life starting with babysitting and lawn-care at age ten Formal Careers: Lifeguard, Sports Coach for soccer, swimming, basketball & lacrosse in the 1970's and 1980's. Middle School Science Teacher, Grocery Store Manager, Engineering Manager, Director of Staff Development and Recruitment, Creator and Director of Cross Sector New Graduate Rotation Program and Leadership Development Programs.

Eric completed a BS in Education from Bowie State University and then an MS in Engineering Management at Johns Hopikns University.

Has served on Several University/Industry Engineering Advisory Boards and served as an Adjunct Professor of Engineering at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA from 2006 - 2014 and continues to offer motivational speaking sessions to undergraduare and graduate students across the country.

Eric began his passion for writing as he author and self-published his first non-fiction book in 2008 titled Ryan's Stories: Gods Perfect Child. As he prepared for retirement he began writing his second book in 2011 and completed it in 2017 titled - The People You Meet in First Class: When Chance Meetings Become Life Changing Conversations.
