Adric Ceneri

Adric Ceneri is an artist, poet, writer, and author. Born in Mexico, he spent his early childhood on the Pacific coast, where he lived with his parents until the age of five. Following their separation, he was forced to endure the lasting consequences of their life choices—experiences that would later shape the emotional core of his work.

Much of Ceneri’s poetry explores pain, survival, identity, and sexuality, reflecting the wounds of childhood and the challenges he faced while growing up. He writes with a rebellious and unapologetic heart, transforming raw emotion into lyrical expression while remaining fiercely true to himself as an artist. Through evocative wordplay, his work embodies personal transgression and resilience, turning suffering into art.

In August 2003, Ceneri migrated to the United States with his family in search of safety and peace, escaping the torment that had driven him to attempt to take his own life. Though he survived those years, his mind and spirit were left deeply fractured.

Writing became his refuge. During his high school years, he began writing in isolation after school, using language as a means of survival while learning English in a foreign land. Art classes became a turning point—there, he discovered a new creative voice and a way to redirect his focus away from trauma. Art, in all its forms, became the mechanism that allowed him to endure his adolescence.

After graduating high school, an English teacher encouraged him to pursue publication. Following three years of repeated rejection and dwindling hope, Ceneri self-published his first poetry collection, My Poetry: Los Restos de un Humano, in January 2010.

The book was met with unexpected success, leading to readings, signings, and a growing readership. Encouraged by this momentum, Ceneri submitted his second manuscript to a publisher. To his surprise, it was accepted on the first submission and released as P.E.D.R.O.: Deep Emptiness, the first installment of a planned four-book novel. Due to production and marketing challenges, the project was later discontinued. The novel will be republished after 2026 under the title P E D R O.

With over twenty years of writing and more than a decade as a published author, Ceneri has released two poetry collections and a four-volume themed journal series.

He currently collaborates with MageSoul Publishing, working alongside founder Carlos Medina and senior leadership to support and amplify voices within the poetry community.

In addition to writing, Ceneri is a visual artist, designing book covers such as IT HURTS, SURVIVAL, and HEALING—the first anthology trilogy released by MageSoul Publishing—as well as artwork for other authors. He has also contributed an original chapter to each volume of the trilogy, poems not published elsewhere, and continues to translate works and create art for fellow writers.
