Daniel Brugge

Daniel Brugge has lived throughout the US and England, but currently resides in the Central Savanah River Area of GA. He has always enjoyed writing and telling stories, especially of the sci-fi and fantasy genres. Growing up, he enjoyed the books of Piers Anthony and Douglas Adams, along with Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and many more; Watership Down being his all-time favorite book. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys relaxing with his family, traveling, movies, and games.

The Glass Staircase was the author's first published novel. It developed over the period of September through November 2017, as a series of thirty bedtime stories for his eight-year-old son, Luke. Together, Daniel and Luke collaborated to develop the unique creatures of Alaysia and the adventures experienced by Alex and his friends. The Castle Under the Stairs followed, in 2018; The Iron Staircase in 2020.

Although the Alaysia series is over for now, Daniel has more projects in the works. Stay tuned and keep reading!
