Relja Novovic

My name is Relja Novović. I was born in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia, in 1979. Enjoying the beauty of socialist system free education, I've studied electro-technics, business (international trade) and IT engineering.

Since I was always curious about how things work, loved disassembling stuff (and had varying success putting it back together :) ), servicing bicycles came sort of naturally. I had serviced family bikes with my father since about 7-8 years old, and a few years later on my own. As I got older, about 10, I got my first multi-speed bicycle and could ride further and climb local Fruška Gora mountain. I have always loved the feeling of confidence when knowing how to repair your own vehicle, no matter what happens down the road. Being unable to fix a flat tyre, or set a poorly working derailleur were out of the question!

With a daytime job as an (IT) systems administrator and a great passion for cycling and bicycle mechanics, website www.bikegremlin.com had emerged in 2015, as well as a small local bicycle shop (operational since 2017).

Books published here are electronic and printed (printable) versions of site's content - put in a structured, easy to navigate (on paper) way, dealing with one topic each. Most of that data is available for free on www.bikegremlin.com (in Serbo-Croatian and English).

All the income made from these books will be used for funding further work and research. Test of bicycle bearing greases is first in line. The results will be published on bikegremlin.com, as well as provided in printing on Amazon.
