ROB BESECKER is the author of Everest Strong, his triumphant personal memoir of living with muscular dystrophy and heart disease, while still fueling his passion for adventure. Everest Strong explores Rob’s discovery of listening to his body and spirit despite his limitations—a fascinating journey that takes him all the way from hospital beds where he questioned his survival to the base camp of Mt. Everest and beyond. He lives in the Chicago area and works as a healthcare professional, advocating for hospice patients and their families. He regularly shares his stories of adversity and perseverance around the country and volunteers and supports many heart and muscle disease charities.
