I started writing in my 40’s and found I couldn’t stop, whether or not anyone else would read the product. In my late 50’s, I met and married a man with similar inclination. Currently we're having much fun in the pursuit of adventure and/or literary subject matter. Anything that crosses our path is potential fiction or non-fiction, as evidenced by our computers’ numerous WORD files. Some of our best stuff, however, is left to the heavens and history, remnants of spontaneous conversations, based on subject matter ranging from an item seen in a front yard to odd or amusing signage to guest stars on the Beverly Hillbillies. We love to laugh, hike and travel, and we install reports and photos of our fun on facebook.

I don’t remember when I first heard the term “Baby Boomer” as an official label for my generation but I was soon fascinated that the whole lot of us could be lumped together (this was obviously way before each group of any description began to receive tags and brands and cutesy names). Of course, the term “Baby Boomers” is actually about the quantity of us, not a quality, but both the media and we ourselves have managed to interpret that label in terms of shared history and interests. We’ve been examined, prodded and marketed-to for our whole lives … those of us born between 1946 and 1964 apparently fascinate much of the world and, in fact, I think we fascinate ourselves. I refer to Boomers as The Most Famous Generation, but the up-and-comers are giving us a run for that title.

We are a nostalgic group, very famously. Our music, entertainment and automobiles stand out as unique styles that appear to be eternally etched on society’s radar and so, with that as a heritage, I remain a faithful observer and recorder of all things Baby Boomer.

I have lived an ordinary but nonetheless interesting life. It moved in different directions than I envisioned, if I can still remember those cloudy, naively optimistic images from my teen years. But move it did and so I’ve landed here. I have 2 grown sons and one granddaughter. That’s a pretty good amount to show for a life. I am a Christian who believes that God invented us to share himself with.
