Watson Scott Swail

DR. WATSON SCOTT SWAIL was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and has lived for the past quarter century in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is the Founding President and Senior Research Scientist of the Educational Policy Institute and serves as a Principal in SwailLandis. A former school teacher, Swail has conducted research for the US federal government, state governments, philanthropies, and schools, colleges, and universities. Recent books include "Finding Superman: Debating the Future of America's Public Schools," and "Stop Making Sense." Beyond academe, Swail is an accomplished singer/songwriter, a much-less accomplished golfer, and a fanatic, in every sense of the word, of the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets and Washington Capitals.
