Phyllis Williams-Strawder
Phyllis Williams-Strawder is the author, strategic matriarch, and candid HBIC behind Brandma’s House. Known as The Ghetto Country Brandmother®, an empathic bitch, she’s on a mission to reduce the business failure rate one bold ass, boundary-honoring Founder at a time.
She doesn’t believe in building a personal brand just to show up on social media. She believes in building branded houses that stand on values, strategy, and legacy so Founders can build, scale, and step the f*ck back without burning out or selling out.
Phyllis brings over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience to the table, including the lessons she learned co-building Bigmista’s, a multi-million-dollar brand that started at a farmers market and became a cult-followed BBQ Brand. She was the business behind the brisket and the strategist who walked away when the brand grew too dependent on their presence to scale.
She holds a degree in business, is a Certified Brand Strategist, Certified Life and Business Coach, and a Certified Marketing Psychology Specialist. She’s also a graduate of multiple executive-level programs, including Goldman Sachs 10KSB, Bridge for Billions, and Cornell’s Women’s Entrepreneurship program.
These days, she serves up strategy with a splash of bourbon and a whole lot of attitude, nurturing and guiding lost brandbabies to grow into unapologetic Brand Leaders through her signature Founder-First Brand Architecture™ method and Brandparenting™ ways.
