Janet McGeever

Janet is an educator, speaker, author and practicing psychotherapist. She spoke at TEDx speaker Noosa, Australia in 2013. She has held The Making Love Retreat for couples in Australia since 2012. She works with women and couples who value their relationship and want to deepen their intimate connection without compromising or closing down physically or emotionally.

Janet is the creator of ‘Womantime - Ancient Wisdom for the Modern-Day Woman’ (http://janetmcgeever.com/womantime), a feminine self-care retreat and course that grew out of the writing of the book, ‘Tantric Sex and Menopause’.

Janet is passionate about educating and facilitating women and men to create meaningful and loving relationships in their lives. She is known for her ability to create a safe space for clients and participants, especially in the sensitive realm of sexuality.

One of the founding members of Women's Wellbeing Assocation in Brisbane Australia, Janet has had a longstanding passion for women’s work over the last 20 years. She holds a masters degree in Experiential & Creative arts Therapy and is a Senior accredited Journey practitioner with The Journey, Brandon Bays.

Janet has initiated several programs for women including WWA’s Womanhood, and JourneyWoman, a retreat combining the powerful Journeywork with women’s work, which she co-developed and co-presented in Australia and New Zealand.

She has had a long-held interest in the area of relationships and sexuality, holding couples retreats since 2009. She has walked the path of menopause, that was punctuated by the discovery of ‘The Making Love Approach’, during which a profound re-awakening of the body and healing was initiated, despite the apparent obstacles that menopause created. She found that the pathway of menopause, and its subsequent effects on the body, heralded of a new sensitivity that was to be honoured and ushered in a pathway to love that was to become her life work.

Janet lives in Noosa, Queensland, Australia. She enjoys long walks through Noosa National Park, swimming, stand up paddling around the beautiful Sunshine Coast region.
