I am an independent historian drawn to the human stories behind the great cataclysms of the twentieth century. I have self-published three books and a peer-reviewed article in Mariner’s Mirror. My combination of a degree in History and English, a master’s degree in Operational Research with Systems Analysis and a career in the naval engineering industry are an invaluable foundation for insights into the history of technical intelligence.
I am married and live on Hayling Island. I am a volunteer at the National Museum of the Royal Navy, a member of the Society for Nautical Research and the Navy Records Society and have a lively interest in landscape photography and music.
My web site at www.dnudd.co.uk hosts downloadable material of interest as well as clarifications and corrections for my books in circulation.
