Donna C. Boyd

Drs. Cliff and Donna Boyd consult for the Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the Commonwealth of Virginia are co-directors of the Radford University Forensic Science Institute (RUFSI). They have worked collaboratively together on over 200 forensic death investigation cases since 1999.

C. Clifford Boyd, Jr. is Professor of Anthropological Sciences at Radford University, Virginia, specializing in forensic archaeology, southeastern U. S. archaeology, and anthropological theory. He is the recipient of the Professional Archeologist of the Year award from the Archeological Society of Virginia (1988) and the Outstanding Faculty Award from the Virginia State Council of Higher Education (2008). He has conducted archaeological and skeletal analyses of remains from prehistoric, historic, and forensic sites in the southeastern United States for 38 years.

Donna C. Boyd is Eminent Professor of Anthropological Sciences at Radford University, Virginia, and Professor of Biomedical Sciences at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, specializing in microscopic skeletal signatures of antemortem and perimortem pediatric and elderly trauma. She is recipient of the Outstanding Faculty Award from the Virginia State Council of Higher Education (2006) and the CASE/Carnegie U. S. Outstanding Professor of the Year award (2006). She was deployed to Haiti to recover and analyze Haitian-American and American victims of the 2010 earthquake.
