Jose, Hoser, Joe from the Show

Growing up in the small town of Glorieta, a passion for community and a true appreciation for service were instilled in José at an early age. Raised in a village that was poor monetarily but wealthy in traditions, family, and community, José found inspiration in his parents. Both were educators and active in the community as leaders and coaches and acted as “mayordomos” (stewards or caretakers) for the village church. Continuing in the footsteps of his family and community, José followed his brother-in-law into military service, spanning the course of five years. Later, he took a second job and saved a small fortune for his future return to New Mexico. Throughout his life, he understood and found success in the value of a hard-earned dollar and the effort it takes to keep it.

When starting his graduate work at the University of New Mexico, José was recruited by a major financial services company. He worked directly for “a legend in the company” and learned a lot about Wall Street and the insurance industry. Most of it he didn’t like at all. José spent most of his time questioning why we didn’t do things differently. It was not long before José was dismayed. He resigned and went in search of a better way. Disenchanted and truly believing there was a better way to make an impact, José decided to start his own firm with a focus on education in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The goal was simple: He wanted to make an impact in the community by sharing smarter strategies for managing and protecting wealth for those who have worked hard and value their money. He wanted them to experience less stress and focus on those issues that matter to them.

Ever since that day, José’s company has been tirelessly working to realize this goal. Every day, they are entrusted to take care of individuals’ hard-earned money and strive to provide them with a more enjoyable life through education and smarter solutions.
