Lil Barcaski

Lil Barcaski

Writer - Playwright – Musician – Actor – Cool Queer Chick

Lil has a very diverse background, mainly in the creative arts. In college she studied music, theater, film making, writing, and photography. She’s an accomplished drummer and vocalist, and therefore spent a lot of hours working in restaurants to pay the bills. Always an entrepreneur, Lil somehow wound up a chef and a restaurateur, which allowed her to be creative in another way.

Lil comes from a mainly Italian background, proudly hailing from the great and crazy state of New Jersey. Like everyone else from Jersey, she is outspoken and believes in honesty, integrity, and follow through. Her background in theater and acting have prepared her to understand humanity in a deeper way.

Lil’s theatrical credits include playwriting, acting, directing, stage managing, and technical work both on stage and in film. Her most noted principle acting role was in the movie “Monster” starring academy award winner, Charlize Theron. She has written three full-length plays and several short plays, all of which have had productions in the Tampa Bay area and have been accepted to major theater festivals.

Lil is presently working on a TV series concept and a new full-length drama that explores the aftermath of sexual abuse in the military. She is also poised to start her second book which will explore the culture of hatred in America.

This book is Lil’s attempt to put out into the world, the wealth of knowledge she’s gleaned from years of dating women, many of whom had never dated women previously. She thinks men and women can be happier with each other and that there needs to be a lot more kindness in the world.

She lives in her beloved town, Dunedin, Florida where everybody knows everybody.
