Linda Imbler

Linda Imbler lives in Wichita, Kansas with her husband, Mike the Luthier, several saltwater fish, and a steadily growing family of guitars. In addition to playing classical guitar and helping Mike build guitars, she is an avid reader, art enthusiast, Yoga and Tai Chi practitioner, and nighttime star gazer.

Linda's poetry collections include thirteen published paperbacks: Big Questions, Little Sleep First Edition; Big Questions, Little Sleep Second Edition; Lost and Found; Red Is The Sunrise; Bus Lights; Travel Sight; Spica’s Frequency; Doubt and Truth, A Mad Dance; Twelvemonth; Viewpoints While In Rome; Rhythms Told; the paperback version of That Fifth Element; and Dread and Nerve. Soma Publishing has published her four e-book collections, The Sea’s Secret Song; Pairings, a hybrid of short fiction and poetry; That Fifth Element; and Per Quindecim.

Linda's poems "Ensorcelled Within the Moonlit Eyes of P'aqo" and "I Found Religion When I Was Too Old To Sin" were nominated for the Pushcart Prize in Poetry. Her poems "The Value of Shadows," "Guitar," "A Train To Somewhere," "Where's Redemption," "Back On The Polychromatic Drip-Dry Flying Carpet" "Screaming Pretty" and "Delirium Through The Drained Glass" have all been nominated for a Best of the Net Award.

Her poetry has been translated into Malayalam, Norwegian, Sequoyah-Cherokee, Hebrew, Swedish, Greek, Afrikaans, French, Mauritian Kreol, and Spanish.

In 2025, she was nominated and accepted into "The Marquis Who's Who In America" based on her work in the field of poetry.
