Marty Meyer-Gad

Marty Meyer-Gad reflects her eclectic life in the diversity of her writings. She just published a novel that circles Lake Superior (Of Priests and Porcupines). Her middle school Kimsara Detective Agency series retrieves lessons learned from the seventh graders she taught. Her memoir, Seventy-Four Cents puts her ordination as a Roman Catholic priest in context. Her years of working as a temporary in dozens of jobs have yet to be fictionalized. Though born in Minnesota she spent her young adult years in Toledo, Detroit, Chicago, etc.. She returned to Minnesota with her husband in 1989. Recently they moved to Mankato to be close to their grandsons and their parents which may fuel a new direction for her writing.
