Hi I am R.J. Brown I am a married to my loving husband Chuck Brown we currrently live in Georgia. I have two daughters and five grandchildren. Who inspired me to write my current book series, God's Lil' Adventurers. I thought it would be a way to teach them about God and draw them closer to his word.
I have always love to write since I was child. I started writing poetry . As a teenager started venturing into short stories. As I watched my children and grandchildren grow, the inspiration for this series came to life. I hope you will enjoy reading them as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
Here is some fun background facts about me. When I was eight my grandmother gave me a old typewriter, that started my love for writing I would take books and rewrite them the way I felt they should go. Of course I thought my endings were more fun. My favorite book was The Firehouse Cat .
As a teenager I wrote several short stories and articles for my high school newspaper. This challanged me to expand my writing talents.
Recently me and a few friends, who are also inspiring writers have created a writer's group that encourages and motivates new writers . Being surrounded by these talented people gave me the courage to put my works out for others to enjoy.
I would like to introduce you to my characters in my series God's Lil' Adventurers,
in the first book Christian the Chipmunk Goes to the Library. It features my grandson Christian, who is a young chipmunk full of curiosity . Each book will feature a different grandchild and their adventure, in the next book I will feature Raelyn my grandaughter. In this book Raelyn is a rabbit she goes fishing with her Poppy but becomes very inpatient. The next book will feature my other grandaughter Bella who is a bird and she learns about different “clicks”starts to wonder why people treat others different when others are around. Then we have my grandson Adrian in my fourth book, he is also a rabbit, when going to the aquarium sparks his imagination and the adventure begins. My oldest my grandson Nathaniel will be featured in the fifth book where he learns how natural diseasters bring us closer together.
