A. C. Jeffers

A C Jeffers was a transplant from Suburban Chicago as a young child. The family had decided Green Acres was the place to be, and farm living was the life for me. It wasn't an easy life, but it was a life of wonder. When you grow up watching the seasons change and the cycle of life, your view of the world is different. You learn about life and death at an early age. You also learn to respect each and every living thing--the honey bee for what it does to procreate crops; the chickens that provide eggs and meat for the table; and the crops and livestock in the fields. Growing up in a small community gave A C a perspective on life and time to write. From an early age, writing was always important, and stories were told while styles were developed. The author is not born but a creation of the world around them. This is my truth.
