Michael Dawes

Michael was born in the Clifton district of Bristol. His father's family owned a blacksmith business in the early 1900s near Blackboy Hill in the city, which provided the inspiration for his first two novels, "A Manner of Walking" and "Not Quite Behaving".

Michael is a graduate of the University of Cambridge (Queens’ College), where he studied Modern Languages (Spanish and Italian), and an alumnus of Harvard Business School.

"Class of '13", a domestic thriller, is his latest book, the first of a series entitled "The Bristol Stories".

Married with two sons, he now lives in Surrey.
