Christa Bedwin grew up on a cattle ranch in the Rocky Mountains and has since travelled to dozens of countries in the world. Constantly curious about life's interesting characters and looking for adventure, she’s met, helped, stayed with, and broken bread with all kinds of people, and held jobs as a chemist, a forest logger, a high school math/chemistry teacher, a farm labourer, a baker, a high-rise oil company secretary, an Outback jilleroo, a belly-dance and yoga teacher, a construction equipment operator, a musician, and an engineering/business writing consultant/teacher.
Now, she enjoys her life as a freelance writer and editor while she continues to roam Europe, finding fascinating settings for her characters and dragons to get up to their adventures. She finds special magic in wild places, in deserts, and in islands, and her uplifting novels include romance, humour, wise and wizardly characters, intriguing capable men and enchanting, sympathetic women, time travel to cool periods (and people!) in history, and dragons.
