Mr Patrick Campbell

Patrick A. Campbell is my pen name and my birth name is Joey Burns. My father's family hails from Limerick, Ireland and my mother's family is from Spain. I was born in New York City in 1955 but left the cold for Miami, Florida at age 3 with my family. I played in garage bands till I was old enough to play clubs and spent the next 10 years as a Rock & Roll singer-songwriter, pursuing my dream. A DUI led me to choose between jail or the military thus I spent the next 6 years serving my country in the US Navy. Never losing the dream, I returned to performing the week I got out at 35 years old. Booze fueled my life and all my aspirations until it stopped working. I didn't get into trouble every time I drank but every time I got into trouble, I was drinking. Getting sober started my new life and helping other alcoholics has been my most rewarding experience
