Herb Cotton (1940 to present). Born in Baton Rouge, LA, and lived in Anchorage, AK (1964 - 2009). I returned to Baton Rouge, LA in 2009 and I presently live in Baton Rouge.
My life purpose is to please God, and I have devoted most of life after my graduation from Southern University in Baton Rouge to serving the church and the communities in which I reside.
However, my purpose in writing this bio is to introduce myself to an audience beyond the communities I have served. In 2016 I had a one-word goal of Listening. What I was inspired to do in June was to write a book.
The result of that dream is the publication of my first book on December 8, 2016.
The name of the book is, “31 Days of Hearing God Speak.” In my book, I seek to connect the purpose and heart of God with the readers of my book. I lean upon the belief, which I support by the declarations of the Bible to my faith that God has something to say to you, and that God’s gives His approval and equips those who make themselves available to serve others.
I have a passion for getting the message of this distributed broadly, and that it will accomplish the purpose and interest of God in the lives of every created human being.
I pray that the words of this book will fall into the hands of eager readers who will receive the benefits I described in the sub-title on the cover of my book.
“How Listening to God Speak Can change your Life.”
