John Stuhl

Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, John Stuhl (1954- ) attended Maryville College in Maryville, TN, and then Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. The first 15 years of his professional life were spent as a minister in the Presbyterian Church. He later attended The University of Tennessee for a PhD in clinical psychology, and has practiced as a psychotherapist for the past 22 years. Through both disciplines, John learned the value and power of good stories, as well as how to create some of his own.

Rescue the Night, John’s first book and the first in his five-book series The Sandman and the Darkest Nights, is the story of three girls befriended by the Sandman. With the Sandman as their guide, the girls explore the night sky, and find mysteries that are fantastic, and frightening. Their adventures expand their imaginations, even as the girls encounter unexpected danger.

Into the Dark, Book 2 in The Sandman and the Darkest Nights series, is now available! Thompson Lee, Lily Conner, and Carly Elise deserve to celebrate. They saved the planet from the Ghluums, who tried to rob it of all light and happiness. But heroes, especially three girl heroes, can’t be too cautious. Although the night sky twinkles with the wonder of a billion, trillion stars, dangers that no one could predict are still lurking out there.
