I am a mother, grandmother,
educator and international co-author
of 365 Empowering Stories. I teach
special education for pre-school
in Stone Mountain Georgia. I
received my Bachelor's Degree of
Arts in Education from DePaul
University in Chicago, Illinois
and my Masters in Elementary
Education from Grand Canyon
University, Phoenix, AZ. As a preschool
special education teacher
of children with special needs,
my students have exposed me
to my creative side that sparked
and ignited me to write several
children’s shorts stories.
The objective in NaTalee Is My
Special Friend is to teach children
from diverse cultures, those in
special education and within cotaught
classrooms to be sensitive,
to accept and treat others
respectfully who are different
from them.
