I live in Northumberland, England and I am an author of adventure, fantasy, and supernatural books for children/teenagers. I have written three books about the adventures of Stevie Rump and his animal companions.
The first book "Stevie Rump and the Sea Witches of Glendowwer" was set in the Caribbean in Victorian times, this involved research into slavery, clothes, and food of the time. The follow up book "Stevie Rump and the Werewolves of Howly Island", moved the gang to the West Coast of Scotland, and led to research into Victorian steam trains. The third of the series "Stevie Rump and the Snow Beast Terror", is set in the Scottish Highlands .My research for the Stevie Rump and Snow Beast Terror covered topics as diverse as Scottish folk tales, marmots, and yodelling.
Northumberland,England is a beautiful county and I am lucky to have a castle within walking distance of my home, walking through the woods often helps with descriptions in the books.
I love baking and trying out new recipes, so, it is perhaps fortunate that I also enjoy running.I always have a rescue cat to care for, but, I love all animals, and bees and especially after being given a bee house as a present.
I lived in Kerala, South India for several years the I was very young and believe I got my love of writing from my mother who used to bash out short stories, and poems for magazines on an old imperial typewriter.
My other published novels "The Ghost of Cattingham Hall" is intended for teenagers, and, I have recently started another book using some of the characters. This book will be years 16+.
I am currently writing a follow up book to The Ghost of Cattingham Hall, and also a collection of Ghost stories which will be for adults.
I hope & teenagers and also adults who read the books enjoy them.
