Barbara Davis-Pyles

As a kid, Barbara’s top three most favorite things were horses, books, and school. Then in the fourth grade she was bitten by the writing bug. Stories, poems, and essays about horses, books, and school soon followed.

Since then, she’s worked hard to expand her writing repertoire to include banana slugs, bears, porcupines, squids, trolls, dragons… (okay, the list is too long to spell out here, but you get the idea).

When she’s not writing (or thinking about horses, books, and school), Barbara can be found hiking, biking, or packing for a road trip. She lives in the northwest corner of Washington State with her husband, a couple of grizzly kids, and an assortment of furry and feathered friends.
