Sharleen Nelson, a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication, recently retired from her position as University Communications Editor & Writer at the UO.
During her 30+ year career as a journalist she has interviewed numerous individuals from a wide range of backgrounds including academia, science, politics, and the arts, among others. She has edited more than 100 books and written hundreds of magazine and newspaper articles on a diverse range of topics in the fields of travel, entertainment, arts, education, science, and technology.
She served as an editor and writer on a variety of magazine staffs, including Spectroscopy, Video Store Magazine, The Maratime, and Oregon Quarterly, and is an award-winning photographer and accomplished graphic designer.
She is the author of The Time Tourists, The Yesterday Girl, The End of Time, and co-author of Dye. Run. Don’t Die.
