I am a writer, retired psychotherapist, and attorney. I had no idea what I wanted to do professionally, so I spent an inordinate amount of time in school, graduating from American University with a BA in Literature, New England School of Law with a JD, and the University of Connecticut with an MSW—in that order. I live in Maine with my amazing husband.
"Fragment of Doubt," a mystery with elements of paranormal and romantic suspense, was published this fall. It is the sequel to "Termination of Benefits," a 2018 Foreward Indie Award finalist in Thriller and Suspense and finalist in the 2019 Next Generation Indie Book Awards for Suspense. It won the People's Choice Award from the Maine Romance Writers.
I co-authored "Compassionate Journey: Honoring Our Mothers' Stories," a finalist in the Next Generation Indie Awards for Women's Issues and the 2018 Foreward Indie Awards for Family and Relationships.
My short stories and essays have appeared in Lily Press/River Poets Journal, Chicago Now, Women of Spirit: Transforming Lives, and two other anthologies. I did my best to avoid COVID-19—reading, writing, walking, learning to play ukulele, and studying esoteric healing modalities. Swimming and bicycling bring me joy, as does reading, sipping tea, cooking, baking, singing, and laughing with my husband and friends.
