John William Baie

The author was born and raised in Rockford, Il. Mr. Baie graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning in 1968. After his military service, including a tour in Vietnam, he completed his Master's degree at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville in 1976.

Mr. Baie was a career civil servant, first at the U.S. Department of Commerce, then at the U.S. Department of Defense, for over thirty years. He is now retired and currently lives with his wife in Arizona.
