DJ Geribo

A native of Boston, MA and a graduate of UMass/Boston with a BA in English, DJ is a self-proclaimed bibliophile as well as a disciple of the fine art of Tsundoku (which means she has more books than she could ever possibly read!) After working for several technology corporations as a Senior Technical Writer, DJ decided it was time to leave the corporate world and pursue her mutual loves of painting and writing.

Throughout the years DJ always wrote extensively, completing many children’s stories as well as working on a variety of novels. Often torn between completing a story or a painting, she has found a way to combine her two passions by illustrating a few of her children’s stories. In 2014, she and her husband, Jim Fontaine, an Internet Architect extraordinaire, started their own self-publishing company, BBD Publishing. In 2017, DJ made the decision to focus entirely on her writing, and now paints only when she needs a distraction from writing. In 2023, DJ completed her 7th book. And over the past 2 years, DJ completed 3 more books and currently has 10 books available for purchase.

DJ and Jim have lived in rural NH since 1987 where they enjoy nature on their 27 acres. They currently share their living space with a very sweet Cockatoo, Coco, who has lived with them for over 25 years. They also recently adopted 2 mixed breed rescues, Raven and Aiko, who are full of energy and mischief and are the best snugglers!
