Mike Davis

Born in Omaha and living in Seattle for almost fifty years, Mike has been writing for over 30 years. He has written for local newspapers, magazines, and posts daily on Facebook, Substack, and Bluesky.

He has won awards at the Pacific Northwest Writers Conference and the Seattle Writers Association. He completed the Advanced Commercial Fiction class at the University of Washington and enjoys reading the work of other published writers.

Married to Gale and living in Seattle, Mike enjoys baseball, and together they love live theater, music, good food, and good wine.

Mike's interests and writing are wide-ranging, from food & wine to politics and everything in between. He has written his autobiography, Missing Connections, and a couple of companion books, Row, Row Your Boat, about his work life, and coming soon, The Little People’s Squad, about his experiences as a U.S. Marine.

Mike considers his book, From Coconut Trees to Cults, to perhaps be his seminal work. He has also published a book on process improvement designed to help small businesses access the values of process improvement without breaking the bank by hiring consultants. That book is titled SBPI - Small Business Process Improvement: Without Breaking the Bank!

One of Mike’s favorite quotes by Ben Franklin is: "Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing about."
