Gavin Jones

Gavin Jones is a writer and artist who lives on the borderlands of Lancashire and Yorkshire, in the North of England. He is a direct descendant of Charlemagne, of a carpenter in Salem during the witch trials, of a woman condemned to the workhouse, and of many other myths and legends.

He studied music and art and has worked in art galleries, museums, as a lecturer, a gardener, and in retail. He has exhibited his visual art across Europe, as well as curating international artist book exhibitions and showing video-poems in festivals (Vancouver and Leeds),

He enjoys reading Richard Brautigan, Georges Perec, Angela Carter and Ursula le Guin and listening to Psychedelic, Neo-Psychedelic, NoWave and post punk music. He holds regular guided mushroom walks, accompanied by his faithful chihuahua, Rio.
