Dear readers,

My name is Ashmi Prasad and I write Anikaa series by pen name- Adhya Krish. Anikaa & The Mystery of the Painting is the first book in the series and is going to be followed by four sequels. This is not only the first book in Anikaa series but also the first book of my life as an author, so it is very special to me and close to my heart. I wrote, edited and published it all by myself and perhaps that's why, some of you avid readers can easily find flaws in it. I apologise for that. But I remember my teacher telling a hesitating student (who had a speech problem) in my class that- your content matters, not your hiccups and so here I present to you my first story- Anikaa & The Mystery of the Painting.

Interestingly, I didn't plan to become an author. It didn't even happened overnight. I took thirty years of my life to figure out what I wish to really become and thrive in and it was stimulated by a dream. A dream about a painting that has a riddle hidden inside it. I first ignored it but somehow I was driven to write a story around this dream.

I started writing Anikaa with the view of a strong female protagonist- a mystery girl with a determined mind and believe it or not, the rest of the story followed by itself. I call it Divine grace. Maa Saraswati, whom I worship as a guru and as a devotee, is the one who blessed me. I am currently working on second part of the series- Anikaa & The Escape and hope to finish it very soon.
