Barb Shadow

Barb Shadow was born and raised in a small town in upstate New York. She earned her BA in Writing Arts but put aside her writing to raise her family.

After many years of paranormal experiences, she co-founded the Sullivan Paranormal Society, an investigative team in Sullivan County, New York and, after a challenge to compete in the 2016 NaNoWriMo, she rediscovered her natural love of writing. Combining this with her passion for the paranormal, A Step Into Darkness was penned. The second novel in the series, Shifting to Black, was released in October 2018. Invitation to Darkness, book three, was released July 27, 2020 with Touched by Darkness not far behind in October 2021. The series gained momentum with Initiate of Darkness and, ultimately, Cult of Darkness. Could a prequel be in the works? Stay tuned for more in her From the Darkness series.

Barb has also written two collections of poetry, Among the Dying Violets and You Were the Music. They encompasses the themes of death, loss and finding love again.

She is currently working on the next book in her horror/paranormal genre, along with a collection of short stories.
