Susie Kincade

Susie Kincade was born into a roaming Navy family has been an adventure traveler her entire life. She was an Olympic hopeful in springboard diving in 1972, and the first woman to compete on a men's NCAA Division 1 varsity sports team, diving for UCLA in '72-'74. The mountains called her to Colorado in 1981 where she began her professional writing career as a freelancer for regional publications like Vail, Aspen, and Steamboat Magazines, specializing in history and environment articles. She's an avid whitewater rafter, hiker, skier, and horsewoman. After raising her family, Susie founded Women's Empowerment Workshop and became a nature-based Empowerment Coach, and a Wilderness activist, all the while, collecting experiences and stories that burst from her soul. Her first book is a co-authorship of Empower Your Life!, an anthology of inspiring stories by women who, like her, persevered, overcame challenges, and rose to lead empowered lives.
