A 50-something, late bloomer with a passion for storytelling, I suppose one could argue "I've come late to the table..." Anyway, in lieu of "rediscovering myself" or buying that bright red sports car, I've decided to rekindle a life-long passion: writing. Admittedly, it's been a twisted romance, full of peaks and valleys, but the itch has never gone away.

My debut novel, "Tube Sock Patriots," while couched in a sci-fi thriller, is really about the friendships of our youth, the longing for belonging, the coming to grips with adulthood in that "sweet spot" between childhood and adolescence.

The tragic death of a family friend inspired me to complete the book, while the lifelong friendship of another inspired me to start the journey.

I hope you enjoy it. All proceeds from the sale of the book go to charity.
